Roman 6:14 declares For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. The law was put in place to help Israel recognize two primary things:
- THEIR SINS
- THEIR NEED FOR GOD
However, as we walk under grace it does not give us a licenses to do whatever we want to do whenever we want to do it. The new covenant ushers us into a spirit to Spirit relationship with the father. Now instead of being led by the WRITTEN WORD we can be led by the LIVING WORD. Galatians 5:22-23, says, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The Spirit of God will not lead you to do thing contrary to what He has already said, but he will show you how to walk in what he is saying now. Jesus declared in Matthew 4:4, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds. out of the mouth of God. God has written his laws in our hearts and in our minds according to Jeremiah 31:32-35, it is time for us to follow them.
Now That We Are Under Grace, Let Us Obey The Holy Spirit
Romans 8:14 declares, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and was raised from the grave for us to become sons. In John 16:7 he said, Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Many believers do not realize we have it better now that Jesus is on the right hand of the Father than we he walk with the early disciples. He walk with them, but now he walks in us. He is alive in you waiting for an opportunity to lead you and to guide you by His Spirit into all truth.
The early apostles did not have a bible to read, study and meditate on the way we do, but they did greater works than most of us. The only difference is they knew how to walk in simple obedience to the Spirit of God. It’s your turn to obey the voice of God and to experience supernatural blessings. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now that Christ is in you, you have access to all of the promises of God.
