God made man to RE-PRESENT HIM in the earth realm. Throughout the word of God we see that for us to RE-PRESENT HIM this can only be done through a vertical relationship with Him and a horizontal relationship with others. This is revealed in the all knowing thought process of our heavenly father. He sees the end then writes the beginning. In this new series When we are talking about RE-PRESENT THE KING we will be focusing on cultivating our relationship with God to present him properly before man. We know from scripture that Jesus is God, therefore we will gleam from the life of Jesus to see how to RE-PRESENT THE KING.

Jesus revealed in a parable in Matthew chapter 25 something that is worth us looking at to give to help us to see something many of us would not want hope was not in the bible. Mathew 25:40 The King will reply, `I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Jesus was revealing to his disciples that your relationship with the king is reflected in your relationship with others. In other words:

• • • • If you do not trust anybody you don’t trust God

      • If you do not love anybody you don’t love God

      • If you refuse to submit to anyone else authority you will not submit to God

      • If you refuse to give to others you will not give to God

      • If you are not grateful for what others do for you, you will not be grateful to God

Remember, Jesus declared a new commandment in John 13:34 he stated, a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you, that you also love one another. He was revealing to us that our love for Him is going to be parallel with our love for others. Jesus death on the cross revealed why The Father was willing to send His son to lay down his life for man kind. Not just to bring man back into a vertical relationship with himself, but also to bring man back into a horizontal relationship with man. The blood of Jesus is so powerful that it gave us a new start with God and man. Don’t take the finish work of Jesus for granted, we not have the opportunity to RE-PRESENT THE KING in a profound way. Let’s take a look at Jesus life to see how He did it so we can follow his footsteps.

TO RE-PRESENT THE KING JESUS HAD A SPECIFIC WAY OF DOING THINGS

Jesus declared in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Jesus declared I am the way. I am the road, I am the lane, I am the journey you should take to present to the world what our Father looks like, talks like, and thinks like. I am the way you should take to demonstrate who the Father is. Moreover, i am the way you should take to RE-PRESENT THE KING.

THIS WAY IS NARROW AND ONLY A FEW PEOPLE FIND IT

Jesus revealed in Matthew 7:13-14 that the way is narrow and only a few people find it. He said, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. This verse should help us to keep our ear close to the heart of our father. The way is narrow and few will find it. I want to encourage you today that you are reading this blog because you are one of the few that will find this road and stay on this road! Next, we see Jesus declared there is another road, it is wide and it leads to destruction. There are many different ways that lead to destruction. Let us look at a few:

        • HATRED

        • UNFORGIVENESS

        • BITTERNESS

        • STRIFE

        • PORNOGRAPHY

        • HOMSEXUALITY

        • SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE

        • ENVY

        • JELOUSLY, ETC…

If you stay on this road you will be headed straight to destruction, you will lose your soul, you will lose your purpose, and you will lose your destiny. If you continue on this road you are making a decision to go to hell instead of heaven. This road might seem great at first, after all you can do what you want, when you want, and how you want. However, it has no substance in it, it is only temporary happiness, and one day you will wake up in misery. Hoping you would have taken the road to life, fullness, and joy. Jesus is so awesome that for most people every day that wake up they have another opportunity to turn around and go down the narrow road. Friend, I want you to know that there is only one way that leads to life, that is LOVE. It is easy to say that you love someone but it takes a relationship with love to love someone. You do not know what love is until you encounter him for yourself.

GOD IS LOVE

1 John 4:7-8 declares, Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. With that being said, this makes it easy for us to understand how Jesus RE-PRESENT THE KING. He did it through love.

THE FIRST KEY TO RE-PRESENT THE KING IS IN LOVE

        • HE THOUGHT IN LOVE

        • HE LIVED IN LOVE

        • HE FELLOWSHIP IN LOVE

        • HE TAUGHT IN LOVE

        • HE PREACHED IN LOVE

        • HE REBUKED IN LOVE

The word of God reveals to us in 1 John 4:7-8 if you do not walk in love you do not know God. I know today we have a lot of people that say, God knows my heart. Of Course, the bible tells us God sees and knows all, but do you know what is in God’s heart? Do you know him for yourself? In other words, what road are you on. The good news is just like when you are driving your car, you can always turn around and go the other way. Today might just be your day to get off that broad road of destruction and jump on the road to life. Let me help you out my friend if you are still practicing sin:

        • YOU ARE NOT ON THE NARROW ROAD

You must turn around to be able to RE-PRESENT THE KING. He will help you get on the road to life, the road to purpose, and the road to destiny. The word of God says in 1 John 1:9 If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins, and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. All you have to do is confess your sins to God and turn around and take the way Jesus has revealed to all of his children to RE-PRESENT THE KING. THE WAY OF LOVE. At the end of this blog, we will have a short prayer you can pray to give your life to Jesus, don’t waste another day on the road of destruction. Turn around in Jesus’ name and get on the road to life.

One of the things that you need to know is that LOVE is the fruit of the Spirit that produces all of the other virtues listed in Galatians 5::22. It reads, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. As you are reading this blog you might notice that some of these things are not present in your life. The good news is as you grab a hold of these principles and RE-PRESENTING THE LOVE OF THE KING the Holy Spirit of God will bring these things alive in your heart.

      • GENTLENESS IS GOING TO BE PRESENT IN YOUR LIFE

      • GOODNESS IS GOING TO BE PRESENT IN YOUR LIFE

      • FAITH IS GOING TO BE PRESENT IN YOUR LIFE

      • MEEKNESS IS GOING TO BE PRESENT IN YOUR LIFE

      • TEMPERANCE IS GOING TO BE PRESENT IN YOUR LIFE

If we are not seeing the joy of the Lord, the peace of God, the ability to endure hardships, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance we are not RE-PRESENTING THE LOVE OF THE KING.

THE LOVE OF GOD HAS CONQUERED:

• • • • SIN

      • LUST

      • PERVERSION

      • GREED

      • SICKNESS

      • DEATH

      • HELL

      • AND THE GRAVE

1 Corinthians 13:8 reveals to us that LOVE NEVER FAILS. Jesus’ life reveals to us the power of love. Jesus opened blind eyes, he cast out devils in many individuals’ lives, and he even raised the dead because of his LOVE FOR HUMANITY. He did not do these things for an offering, he did not do these things for fame, and he did not do these things to be seen, but for LOVE. John 3:16 declares, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. When we RE-PRESENT THE LOVE OF THE KING it leads to LIFE. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly (John 10:10) but we must learn to RE-PRESENT THE KING the way Jesus did.

JESUS IS OUR PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO RE-PRESENT THE KING

First, let’s think about how he loves us. I can think of many personal experiences that I have had with the lord. The visions, the dreams, the small still voice he speaks to me with the same whether or not I have done something good or bad that has blown my mind time after the time. However, you might have had some of my experience and some of your own, but let’s go to the bible to see how it reveals to us God’s love.

JESUS RE-PRESENTED THE LOVE OF GOD BY DYING FOR OUR SINS

• TO RE-PRESENT THE KING IN LOVE WE MUST LAY DOWN OUR LIVES

As I was seeking the Lord to grow in love, faith, and as a leader to lead His people a few weeks ago. The Lord spoke to me clearly, YOU WILL NEVER SEE FRUIT IN YOUR LIFE UNTIL YOU DIE. I started thinking, what does the Lord mean although I have read, Romans 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” and other verses in the bible. I still needed clarity. God began to show me that it means: 

WE MUST LAY DOWN OUR LIFE DAILY TO PLEASE HIM.

Jesus said in John 8:29 …He that sent Me is with Me. The Father hath not left Me alone, for I do always those things that please Him. When you make up your mind to please God in everything you do and you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you. Your will becomes His will. Your Desires become His desires. Your plans become his plans. Your love becomes His love. You start to RE-PRESENT THE KING. Matthew 16:24 reveals to us, Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. What it comes down to is WE MUST PUT THE KING FIRST:

• BEFORE OURSELVES

• BEFORE OUR SPOUSES

• BEFORE OUR CHILDREN

• BEFORE OUR MINISTRY

• BEFORE OUR CAREER

• BEFORE OUR BUSINESS

The KING desires to be put first in our lives and to be straightforward with you HE DESERVES IT. Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like, unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. We will never be able to RE-PRESENT THE KING without giving Him our whole hearts, soul, and mind. When we put him first in our lives we are laying down our lives for Him.

As we close out this first blog in this series, let us identify a few areas we all should strive to put THE KING FIRST:

• OUR TIME – Seek first the kingdom…Matthew 6:33

• OUR RESOURCES – Where your treasure is there will your heart be also…Matthew 6:21

• OUR RELATIONSHIPS – He that loves his father, mother, or children more than me is not worthy to be my disciple… Matthew 10:37

• OUR SCHOOLING, CAREERS, & BUSINESSES – In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths…Proverbs 3:6
